What do you want from me?

It's a song title... people say it to each other in the heat of the moment... and bookkeepers and accountants say it to their clients.


Unfortunately, the last statement is not always accurate.




Most of the time, we are so busy staying on top of our daily lives and our work that we don't ask our clients about what they need and expect.


At Balance, it's one of the first questions we ask before we onboard a new client, and we ask our current clients a nicer version of this question, all the time.


Sometimes, our clients tell us that they want more frequent communication. Others want less. Some clients wish that we could provide more detailed, automated reporting, whereas others want on-demand access to information and no emails or calls.
